Note | JapSin I, 18 Fengzhi kanxing Rijiang Yijing jieyi 奉旨刊行日講易經解義. Eighteen juan in sixteen ce in a blue cloth jacket. This edition belongs to the same series as the Rijiang Sishu jieyi (cf. Jap-Sin I, 13). The Latin inscription on the cover reads: “Lib. mutationum Y-king (1us ex canonicis).” Wieger’s catalogue (WH) gives: “Liber mutationum. 1us ex canonicis ge kiam ye kim i.e. quotidiana libri classici ye kim sive mutationum ac productionum explicatio ab Imper. Kam-hi in lucem ed. 18t, 16 vol., 23 x 15.” The title page bears a red seal in seal style characters: 經筵日講.In juan 1 there is a preface by the Kangxi emperor, dated the eighteenth day of the twelfth month of the twenty-second year of his reign (3 February 1684). There follows a list of the ministers who took part in the lectures and in the publishing; the procedure of divination, a memorial to the throne on the occasion of presenting the book; diagrams from the Book of Changes, and another memorial to the throne in thanksgiving to the emperor, dated 6.VII Kangxi 24 (5 August 1685). This book consists of a series of lectures on the Yijing (Book of Changes, given in the Imperial study hall). They were compiled and published by order of the Kangxi emperor. Cf.
