Note | JapSin I, 145 Zhengshi lüeshuo 拯世略說. By Zhu Zongyuan 朱宗元. One juan. Chinese bamboo paper in one volume. No date or place of publication. The cover bears the title in Chinese with a Latin inscription: “De vera et falsa religione, a licencia | to christo Chu çum yuen.”There is a preface by the author (four folios) and a table of contents (two folios). Folio 1 bears the title and the author’s name. There are nine columns in each half folio with twenty-one characters in each column. The upper middle of each folio bears the title with the number of the folio below the fish tail. There are sixty-six folios in the whole book. The book explains the teaching of the Catholic Church. At the same time it is an apology, seeking to show how Catholicism differs from other religions. For the author of this book, see below (Jap-Sin I, 146). Cf.
