Mgr. Joseph-Martial Mouly (1807-1868, vicar apostolic of Mongolia and administrator of the diocese of Peking), Tianzhu jiao zouzhe 天主教奏摺, printed in Hongkong, 1855, 21 ff. (8/20); memorial in defence of Christianity presented by Mgr. Mouly on 7 Aug. 1854 (Xianfeng 4, 14.VIII), in which he gives, among others, a historical survey of Christianity in China (ff.1-12), from the Tang and Yuan dynasties to Ricci, Schall, the Edict of Toleration (1692), up to the time of the Nanking Treaty (1844).
