The tablets depict local worthies from earliest times to the authors' present and were to the extent possible based on true-to-life portraits. The stone tablets were preceded by a painted album with a more limited coverage. In 1829, a woodblock-printed book was also published that reproduced the images on the stones. 10 albums in sutra binding with wooden boards. Some boards loose. At least half a leaf missing in vol. 2. Minor worming. Our vols. are currently not in any particular order.
