Donors note: AA. 蘇孝慈墓誌銘 (Antique, 精裝 with cloth sleeve re-made in 1931辛未)
蘇孝慈 (537-601) was a high official in Sui 隋 dynasty. His tombstone 墓碑 was unearthed more than 1,200 years later in 1887 and hence kept in an excellent condition. It has since been regarded as the standard copybook 字帖 for calligraphy of the 隋唐 period. For a detailed description of 蘇孝慈墓誌銘 see link below (scroll to the bottom of the tombstone calligraphy). However, the version given in the link contains 17 fewer characters at the end as compared to this donated antique version:

Yuanta jinshi tu 原搨金石圖. Alt. useage: Yuantuo jinshi tu 原拓金石圖?

Fan-folded (2 ce 冊) album of mounted rubbings with descriptions in Chinese. No author, publisher, date, or place of publication. Seal (rubbed) in first page of each ce. Rubbings from tombstones, stele, taken from Han and other ancient cites including Confucian temples. Descriptions and dimensions included. Not in OCLC. Rare.

The following note (in pencil, unsigned) on lined note paper was included:

The Six Books of the Classics.
The contents of pages covers the text of the ‘Six Classics” and it includes finely engraved drawings of text about historical events.
It is very evident that the books were printed during the Ming period then rebound during the Ching period [Emperors?] with Imperial yellow brocade. Evidently by Emp. Kang-hsi.
Size 18½ inch long by 8½ inch broad. Complete with 5 volumes each 2 in diameter [?].
Books are in fine condition. Source: I purchased the books (finely bound) in Pekin during 1908 when Imperial Library was being looted.
Illustrations all wood or fine stone drawing and exquisite high class art and calligraphy {sic}. The books contain numerous material covering historical events, [??], illustrated by maps and diagrams, plus illustrations the dress [??] of various periods.

Despite the above note, the condition of the texts is poor, and the paper does not appear to be a Ming variety but much later, dark, stiff, and acidic. Cased in wooden end-boards similar to other 19th century collections. Paper is crumbling, edges broken, and covers faded. The title strip on the original brocade covers are illegible. Title appears on cover boards only.
