My research centers on the design and analysis of "matching markets," those transactions in which assets or services are conveyed from one party to another without money as a medium of exchange. Transplant organs, academic courses, and dormitory rooms, for example, cannot be sold because of institutional, legal, or ethical reasons. I am working to understand the forces driving these transactions and to design more efficient models.
