"In his Sinensis lmperii Libri Classici Sex (Prague, 1711), François Noël (1651-1729) offered a new translation of the works in Confucius Sinarum Philosophus and added the last of the "Four Books", the "Mencius", as well as the "Classic of Filial Piety" (Xiaojing 孝經) and Zhu Xi's "Elementary Learning" (Xiaoxue 小學). Still, Noel's work contains only few commentaries and interpretations of the Chinese texts, and it was less known than Confucius Sinarum Philosophus." -- Cf. Standaert, Handbook of Christianity in China, vol. 1, p.896.
