Chris Merluzzo: I visited the memorial to pay my respects to Pete Mulligan ['95]. I knew him through my buddy Joel Malo, and even though I only met Pete a few times, his passing left me with a personal connection to the 9/11 tragedy. I know a lot of people who were very close to him. I saw up close how this tragedy changed people’s lives.

Joel Malo: I attended the opening ceremony of the memorial last year with friend and classmate Dan Johnson ['95]. Pete Mulligan ['95], a dear friend and college roommate of ours, lost his life in the 9/11 tragedy. Pete was a thoughtful, caring person who positively impacted so many lives. He came from a wonderful family and left behind his beautiful wife Sara. In revisiting the memorial on the 9/11 anniversary, I thought of all the great times we had with Pete during our days at BC as well as after graduation. He was a great man who will continue to be sorely missed by friends and family.
