Cathi Ritter: I had read about the labyrinth in Boston College Magazine, and being on campus for the anniversary seemed like an opportune time to experience it. We were both very moved by the beauty of the design and the aura of peace. Walking the perimeter and reading the names of alumni really made these victims real to us. We were both surprised and saddened at how young so many of the BC alumni were. Also, knowing that families who had lost a loved one had been there that day to remember and grieve made me feel such sorrow. My brother was on the 23rd floor of the North Tower and was thankfully able to make it to safety. Watching the towers crumble, not knowing where he was, makes 9/11 very personal and painful.
