I am interested in examining racial and ethnic disparities within our healthcare system. As a National Institute of Mental Health postdoctoral fellow, I developed a strong interest in understanding patient and provider interactions and how they influence the mental health clinical encounter. I hope my findings will contribute to improving the quality of care for people who are underserved and underrepresented in the current system.
