My primary area of research is fundamental moral theology. I am working on a book dealing with the interpretation of the Roman Catholic Magisterium's teachings on contemporary moral issues in the areas of politics, bioethics, sexual ethics, and social ethics. Having studied and taught in Europe and Asia for more than a decade, I am particularly interested in cross-cultural comparisons, examining, for example, Confucian and Christian approaches to ethics.
