The month of April alone saw more than a dozen musical performances at Boston College, from jazz and chamber music to a harpsichord recital. @BC presents recordings of two of the larger concerts.
On April 22, 146 members of University Chorale of Boston College, directed by John Finney, performed in Trinity Chapel on the Newton Campus. The concert marked the 250th anniversary of Mozart’s birth on January 27, 1756, in Salzburg, Austria, and featured his “Coronation” Mass and other works.
On April 28, 59 members of the Symphonic Band of Boston College, directed by David Healey, and 46 members of the University Wind Ensemble, directed by Sebastian Bonaiuto, performed in Gasson Hall 100 during the eighth annual Arts Festival. Both groups are part of the Boston College Bands Program.
