@BC offers a selection of Web views of the comedian who was recently cited by Entertainment Weekly as “the best reason to tune in” to Saturday Night Live.

Poehler, a native of Burlington, Massachusetts, graduated with a degree in theater and communications, and improvisational experience gained with the campus group My Mother’s Fleabag. She toured for a year with Chicago’s Second City, joined the Upright Citizens Brigade, moved with it from Chicago to New York and from the stage to TV’s Comedy Central, and joined SNL in 2001.
