Mingshi gao 明史稿 (1723), 310 juan, compiled upon imperial order of 1679 under the supervision of Wang Hongxu (1645-1723, jinshi 1673) from Huating 華亭, Jiangsu .... "Draft of the official history of the Ming dynasty. Completed and presented to the throne in 1723 comprising 19 juan imperial annals, 77 juan monographs, 9 juan tables and 205 juan biographies. The work generally conforms with the Mingshi but deviates in some parts. Printed during the Qianlong period by the Jinshentang 敬愼堂. Table of contents missing in reprint." Cf.
