Orchestrating a Career for Leadership

Angela Barron McBride

Indiana University School of Nursing

Renowned scholar and author of The Growth and Development of Nurse Leaders Angela Barron McBride will discuss the career stages of nursing, how nurses can develop into leaders, and the benefits of mentoring.

McBride is known for her contributions to women’s health, the psychology of parenthood, and psychiatric-mental health nursing. She served as president of Sigma Theta Tau International and of the American Academy of Nursing, which named her a Living Legend in 2006. McBride is a member of the Institute of Medicine.
