Fall is here, but summer remains top of mind in our lead story, which introduces Boston College’ss Summer Programs Abroad. That’s because enrollment begins October 15 for 2017’ss intensive, month-long summer sessions. This newsletter also highlights University Health Services in its new location—the Thomas More Apartments—located at 2150 Commonwealth Avenue.

Contemplative Spaces: Summer Study Abroad

Each year, some 300 students enroll in one of the Office of International Programs’ month-long, faculty-designed and led summer courses abroad. Launched in 2001, the summer program offers an international complement to any field of study, and an immersive if brief test run for those unsure about spending a full semester abroad. Last day to officially withdraw from a course or from the University: November 28

Study days: December 12–13

Final exams: December 14–December 21

Holiday break: December 22–January 16
