HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS

If you haven’t yet made hotel reservations for Commencement Weekend, we urge you to do so as soon as possible. While there are many hotels close to Boston College, there are also numerous colleges and universities that will be holding their commencements on the same weekend. For a comprehensive list of area hotels, please go to www.bc.edu/hotels.

PARKING ON SUNDAY AND MONDAY

Families and guests of graduates who attend Commencement Baccalaureate Mass on Sunday, May 20, may park on Lower Campus in any designated space, or in either the Beacon Street or Commonwealth Avenue garages. With close to 20,000 people expected to attend Commencement Exercises on Monday, May 21, you can expect heavy traffic while traveling to and from campus. Please allow for ample travel time, and make plans to park in designated spaces on Lower Campus. Two satellite sites, one on the Brighton Campus and another at Newton Campus, are also available for BC parking on May 21. A shuttle bus service will run between the satellite lots and several campus locations.

GUESTS WITH DISABILITIES

On Commencement Day, accessible parking and reserved seating is available for our guests with disabilities or limited mobility. Parking will be available in the Beacon Street Garage. To gain access, you must have a state-issued disabled placard or license plate. If you do not, you may request a special Commencement Day parking pass. Seating will be available in Alumni Stadium at both end zones on the mezzanine level with accessible seating tickets. To reserve accessible seating tickets and/or a special Commencement Day parking pass, please go to www.bc.edu/commencement and complete the online form available in mid-April.

ALUMNI STADIUM SECURITY

To ease and encourage the efficient flow of guests in and out of Alumni Stadium, attendees will not be permitted to carry luggage, backpacks, briefcases, large bags, and wrapped gifts into stadium or any of the respective school diploma ceremony sites. We suggest that you leave these items in your car or your student’s room. Normal-sized handbags, purses, clear bags, and camera bags will be subject to inspection.
