Ken Kelley, of Jackson Lumber & Millwork, sands a door to Gasson Hall.

Doorman

Jake Mycofsky, project manager, capital projects management:

“Last summer, we installed four big oak doors on Gasson Hall. When winter comes and the humidity changes, the doors sometimes warp and need to be sanded. The doors don’t react to the humidity changes at the same time, so we have someone sand them for two to three hours at a time. Once the doors settle in and stabilize to the right dimensions for this climate, they don’t need to be sanded again.”
