Rock around the clock

Participating in the 2004 Dance Marathon were 277 dancers (in red) and 170 moralers (in yellow). The dancers’ responsibility was to raise at least $150 from sponsors and to remain on the floor for the duration. The moralers, allowed more flexibility in coming and going, were charged with keeping one or two specific dancers pumped up, which they did with food, small gifts, and surprise messages gathered ahead of time from family and friends.
