Representative publication: “The midlife transition of professional women with children” (Women in Management Review, 2002)

“I’m interested in what happens when women are 50. I became interested in talking with women who had lives like mine: with enduring careers, but also families and children. My two main goals are that women at midlife and beyond will recognize that they’re not alone in the quest to have both a career and a home life. The other is that organizations understand that this is a very rich human resource, and that they need to find ways to understand what the needs of these women are—that they have needs beyond, say, childcare—and make the workplace a compatible place for them to be and in which to achieve.”
