“I research how teachers make decisions about the dilemmas that emerge in classrooms—for example, the school system has decided that you must teach to the state-mandated MCAS exam, but you realize this doesn’t address the diverse needs of your students. I work with student teachers on how we can reason through problems like that in the best interest of our students. The other aspect of my work deals with how literature can help students reason through moral cognitive dilemmas.”
