I am a research methodologist by training, and my interests include the extension and application of statistical methods to issues in education, social science, and policy studies. My methodological work involves applications of multilevel models in field experiments designed to understand what factors influence student performance in school settings where there are many variables are at play such as class size, individual teaching styles and personalities, and a range of demographic backgrounds among students.
