Singer/songwriter Ellis Paul (Paul Plissey ’87) was the festival’s special guest, the recipient of the second annual alumni award for artistic achievement from the BC Arts Council (which sponsors the festival). Since 1993, Paul has received 12 Boston Music Awards, and has put out 10 albums, a documentary/concert DVD, and a book of poems and stories. His first appearance at the Arts Festival was this Friday morning “Inside the BC Studio” interview with Boston Globe music critic Scott Alarik. Later that evening, Paul gave a live concert on O’Neill Plaza.
