During the first week of classes, the deans of the College of Arts and Sciences hosted a coffee and dessert reception for undergraduates—the first in what will be a weekly gathering in the Honors Library. At the event, cosponsored by the Undergraduate Government of Boston College on September 8, Barbara Viechnicki (center), associate dean, spoke with (clockwise) Jenniffer Castillo ’08, Brianna Germain ’08, Kelly Treseler ’08, Frances Maughan-Brown ’08, Karla Chavez Mendoza ’07, and an unidentified student. In attendance were some 60 undergraduates, along with Joseph Quinn, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, William Petri (senior class dean), Akua Sarr (junior class dean), Clare Dunsford (sophomore class dean), and Sr. Mary Daniel O’Keeffe, O.P. (freshman class dean). For more information, see the story on the program in the independent student newspaper, The Heights.
