On September 30, Kate Kreinbring ’05, a volunteer with the 4Boston program, read to (from left) Desiree, Ashley, and Marcus in the Boston College room at the Commonwealth Tenants Association (CTA). In April, the CTA, which offers youth programs and other services to tenants of a housing development in Brighton, Massachusetts, dedicated its community room to Boston College in recognition of its 13-year partnership with the University. The room is decorated with children’s drawings of Boston College and photographs of BC students working with schoolchildren from the neighborhood. Each year, nearly 75 PULSE and 4Boston volunteers tutor and mentor elementary and high school students at the CTA.
