During an event on the Dustbowl to raise awareness of recycling on campus, some 25 students, including freshmen Miguelina Camilo (on ground), Travis Blair-Glantz, and Philip Pietrangelo, designed T-shirts with slogans such as “Kiss Me . . . I Recycle.” The event, which took place the day before St. Patrick’s Day, was organized by students from the Undergraduate Government of Boston College, the Environmental Action Coalition, and EcoPledge. This spring, undergraduates are also participating in the national competition RecycleMania, which pits 93 universities against each other to see which institution can collect the largest amount of recyclables.
