Campus tour

Alaina Zhang of Columbus, Ohio, mimics Boston College tour guide Megan Donohue ’07 as they walk backward along Linden Lane on July 7. Alaina is the sister of Eddie Zhang (in white shirt), a prospective student. The Office of Undergraduate Admission trains some 200 undergraduates as tour guides each year, and offers five campus tours on summer weekdays. Guides provide an overview of the University’s history, curriculum, mission, and architecture as they lead their groups through and around Middle Campus’s main buildings—Devlin, Gasson, St. Mary’s, Higgins, Fulton, and the Bapst and O’Neill libraries. Summer is one of the busiest seasons for the admission office, with more than 500 visitors a day. The office also offers hour-long Eagle Eye sessions, where high school students and their parents can question a panel of BC students.
