On February 14, novelist Junot Díaz came to campus for a three-day residency that included delivering a Lowell Lecture and meeting with student writers, faculty, and staff. Díaz’s The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, about a Dominican-American nerd (his term) obsessed with science fiction and comics, garnered a National Book Critics Circle Award in 2007 and a Pulitzer Prize in 2008. On the morning of February 16, the author met with the students of Elizabeth Graver’s Forms and Techniques of Fiction class and Min Song’s Contemporary American Fiction class for a free-ranging Q&A in Gasson Commons. The cameras of @BC were on hand.
