Connell School of Nursing faculty and staff gather at the 19th annual silent auction for Rosie’s Place, a homeless shelter for women in Roxbury, Massachusetts. Since 1986 the auction has raised nearly $17,000 for the shelter. This year’s auction brought in $1,750. The School of Nursing’s fundraiser was one of several that took place on campus this week, including a raffle that raised $3,000 to buy building supplies for 80 volunteer students who will travel to Pascagoula, Mississippi, to help rebuild houses destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.
