Sing we Noel

Audio only

Published: December 2004

On December 3, 2004, in a sold-out presentation, the University Chorale and Boston College Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of John Finney, performed their “Annual Christmas Concert” at the Trinity Chapel on the Newton Campus.

John Finney has been the director of the University Chorale since 1993, and became conductor of the Boston College Symphony in 1999. Richard Dyer of the Boston Globe has called him “one of the city’s busiest and most valuable musicians.” He is also the associate conductor and chorusmaster of Boston’s Handel & Haydn Society.

Soloist Laetitia Muriel Blain is former musician-in-residence at Boston College, and has been a guest artist with the Boston Pops and the National Symphony of Washington, D.C.

Founded in 1913 as the all-male Glee Club, the University Chorale is one of the oldest performing groups on campus. It includes nearly 170 students, faculty, and staff. The Boston College Symphony Orchestra is composed of undergraduate musicians and offers four public concerts per year.
