The Security Camp is a free one day conference for university system, network, security administrators, and security managers. The goal of the conference is to share the experiences of those responsible for maintaining computing security in the higher education environment so all may benefit from our collective experience. Opportunities to network with other University staff will be provided throughout the day.

Topics generally fit into one of the following sub-categories:

• developing and enforcing security policies
• managing risk
• network security, such as firewalls, IDS, IPS, and netflow
• public domain security software you've deployed, and any gotchas, extensions, or lessons learned
• identity management
• forensics
• anti-virus/anti-spyware, etc.
• bad stuff, like phishing, botnets, etc.
• security and outsourcing
• mobile security (wireless, handhelds)
• encryption
• database security
• web server security
• operating system security (securing Vista? securing OS/X?)
